My name is Carrick; I've been a member of the fine hobby of tabletop gaming since 2007. I cut my teeth on the Revised Third Edition of D&D (known colloquially as "v3.5") courtesy of a copy of the Basic Game purchased from a local games store; rest in peace, The Gaming Experience. As my experience with the game grew, so did my ambitions: I progressed quickly from neophyte to seasoned player with the help of fellow hobbyists, then from player to the primary Dungeon Master for my group of friends. Fast forward to the current day, where I now seek to apply my twenty years of experience in the hobby to the World Wide Web in the form of the DM's Workbench.

This little corner of Neocities seeks to serve a few primary purposes:

• Firstly, this is intended to be a repository for the many ideas I had devised and/or refined over the years; hence the name "The DM's Workbench". Many are designed with v3.5 D&D in mind, but could be used with any number of settings or rulesets if you, the reader, don't mind putting in a little work.
• Secondly, I will have a section devoted to discussion of various mechanics. This "Did You Know" section will provide advice and tips to beginners and seasoned players alike.
• Thirdly, this site will also be host to my own personal campaign setting, which will be in a state of perpetual development and expansion for the forseeable future.
